Candidate must have at least 5 years experience. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a good mechanical aptitude and excellent problem solving skills, be dependable and a team player. Duties include operating one of several makes/models/set-ups of printing equipment to produce printed products. Must be able to prepare plates for the printing process using CTP, layout of negatives in flats, use of metal plate burners and processors, operation of photo direct to plate cameras, and/or scanners used as a substitute technique for cameras. Must have excellent communication skills as position requires direct contact with Customer Service Representatives, Production Manager, Graphic Designers/Prepress Technicians and Bindery/Finishing personnel to produce printed products that meet quality, design and deadline specifications. Windows based computer skills a must to utilize job flow tracking system.
